IT Services Projects

IT Services is building a robust Project Management capability through its Program Management Office. The structure in place at this time includes a standardized Status template for project reporting, project status reports requested at least monthly, a Master Project List showing all projects and their status, weekly review of projects on the Master Project List, and estimating of capital and operating expenses by project with rollup to the current budget.

Work-in-progress for the Program Management Office is:

• Establishment of project metrics
• Tracking and reporting performance to metrics
• Education of staff performing project management responsibilities
• Linkage of project priorities to departmental goals
• Prioritization of project work by customer advisory council(s)
• Prioritization of infrastructure work by MCIS
